My most memorable experience in Vatel Manila is actually the cross exposures in the hospitality business because we were exposed to different hospitality divisions. And at an early age, I learned a lot of avenues in hospitality already, so I will know what to do in in the future.
My career journey actually started in Manila, in two of my internships actually. Currently I am in Business Development in Events. And what my goal is, is to actually go and move around in the hotel business because I want to take advantage of my age because I'm still young and I want to learn as much as possible and see what the departments have to offer and grow with it and see what I can do in the future.
There are a lot of things to do in hospitality. You have to be very proactive in dealing with all the things. Not everything will be very smooth but if you know what you really want, you have to really focus with your strengths. And my advice to younger generations of Vatel students is to actually move around in the hospitality business and learn as much as you can.
